London: US writer George Sounder has won the man booker prize for his first book "Lincoln in the Bardo". The condition after death and before rebirth is called Bardo. Such belief is considered according to Buddhism.

Man Booker Prize 2017: The story of "Lincoln in the Bardo" is the story of Abraham Lincoln in which the soul of Abraham Lincoln is eager to meet his son Billy in his grave. Earlier in 2005, the award was given to a Korean writer. This year Arudhanti Roy was also in the race to get this award from India. But he did not find a place in it and this award was given to George Saunders this time for his novel "Lincoln in the Bardo".
